Talking Turkey and Other Clichés We Say
Teachers will find this a humorous read aloud to introduce and explain the use of clichés.

Stubborn as a Mule and Other Silly Similes
I am a HUGE advocate for using picture books to teach ELL/ESOL/ESL students at any grade level! I think the pictures along with the writing really helps them to understand the language.
I used this book along with the metaphor book in this series to teach a unit on similes and metaphors to my 6th grade ELL students. The unit was a success and the books help greatly. The pictures are very vivid and the examples are easy to understand....Bottom line: The books in this collection are wonderful! They are great for teaching.
